Congratulations Class of 2021! ~ Graduation, Washington State University - Vancouver

Graduation. It’s such an AMAZING achievement and always deserves to be celebrated.

This past year in particular has made it hard for graduates to celebrate their accomplishments in a “normal” way. Traditional graduation ceremonies couldn’t happen during the pandemic, leaving recent graduates to find different ways to celebrate.

This last year also brought new challenges for students! Between getting used to attending Zoom classes and studying from home all of the time, students have worked so hard through to adapt through this transition. Because of this, it’s SO important that recent graduates can find a special way to celebrate their graduation… even if it doesn’t look quite as traditional!

Celebrating a graduation in 2021 includes celebrating that you got your diploma or degree… but it also includes celebrating how hard you worked through the pandemic. It’s so important to acknowledge your success through all of these changes!

That’s why I was so excited when Karisma booked a photography session with me! A photography session is always a great way to celebrate your graduation, but especially with the added challenge of remote learning this past year… a photography session is the perfect way to treat yourself and celebrate!

Karisma is a recent graduate from Washington State University - Vancouver (WSU), and at the time she reached out to me, she was about to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a Quantitative Biology certificate. She has since graduated and is ready to take on the adventure of post-grad life.

This is an awesome accomplishment, and Karisma also made it happen with all remote classes this last year of school. She put in a TON of hard work, so I’m especially happy that we were able to celebrate her achievements with a photography session!

Karisma shared that she loves outdoor activities like camping, hiking, and traveling, so it was fitting that we had an outdoor session for her with beautiful weather at golden hour. We visited the WSU-Vancouver campus for her session, and she showed me around to a few of her favorite spots. Now, when Karisma looks back at her photos, she’ll be reminded of her college memories.
