When it comes down to it, all of my photography sessions can be placed in one of two groups... Category one contains sessions that focus on YOUR creative vision!

Many of the shoots that are booked by my photography clients fall into this group. For example... during a wedding, I'm focused on capturing your special day where you've curated all the creative details. And if there are unique shots you want me to capture (like candid shots of guests' fun outfits at your Halloween-themed wedding), I'm going to make it my priority to bring your vision to life!

On the other side of the coin... category two contains sessions that are centered around MY creative vision!

Ever since I started capturing brand story sessions all over Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon... I've made it my priority to focus on business owners and give an exclusive "behind-the-scenes" look at the work they do. Some of the final images I deliver are business owner headshots, the owner or team hard at work, details of the business's workspace, and product photos. These types of shots give customers a good idea of what to expect from your offerings and products, but I recently realized that I can take things a step further...

In April of this year, I attended Shutterfest! Shutterfest is a photography conference that's held in St. Louis, and I wrote about my experience as an attendee. After coming home from this conference, I was SO inspired creatively, and I also realized I could be adding to the types of branding services I offer. On top of my brand story sessions, I decided to offer commercial lifestyle campaigns for clients!

Today's blog is just a bit different from what you're used to seeing around here... Why?

Here on the Brittney Corey Photography blog, I typically share my OWN work... whether it's a boudoir session, brand story shoot, or wedding coverage. That may sound like a no-brainer, but it's extra important to point out before we dive into this post!

Instead of reading about one of my photography sessions, today you'll be reading about my experience at a photography conference. In April of this year, I attended Shutterfest! Shutterfest is an in-person conference that's held every year in St. Louis, and I've been trying to go for years. The only thing stopping me was my schedule, but this year the stars aligned... and I was totally free to attend!

...Now, what if I told you there's a different aesthetic choice you can make that has JUST as much impact as the sets you choose? I bet you'd want to learn more about it!

It's a small but super impactful choice... so we're including it as a post in the "Studio Set Series." Today's post is ALL about the sheet colors you can choose for the bedroom set and how to decide which one to pick!

Even though motherhood is a beautiful journey, and I'm so proud to be a mom... I realized that I (along with SO many other women!) have identities, careers, dreams, and histories that can often get lost underneath the title of "mom." This realization led to the creation of the "More Than a Mom" project!

I feature moms in both the "boudoir" and the "branding" sides of my business, so it's a guarantee that you've seen at least SOME of my work featuring mamas...

Mothers have been a main focus of my photography for SUCH a long time, and today's blog post is no exception! Today, I'll be highlighting a boudoir model session that features an awesome mom. She applied to be a model for one of my "Sweater Weather" sessions, and after learning more about her... I couldn't wait to have her in the studio!

Today's blog post is a VERY special one for me! I love when my boudoir clients start to become "regulars" and join me in the studio more than once. Not only do I get to know more about them as people, but I also get to walk alongside them and be supportive, no matter what they happen to be going through each time they book a session...

Some clients stop in the studio when they're having a hard time working through body image or self-confidence issues. In these moments, I'm honored to hold space for my clients and create an environment where they can learn to see the beauty in themselves. This is one of my favorite parts about being a boudoir photographer.

Other times, clients book a session with me when they're looking to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or even Valentine's Day. It's always fun to celebrate with them!

If I'm lucky enough for my boudoir clients to become "regulars," I see them through a lot of these struggles AND celebrations... Just like the client in today's post!
