Tylar & Keven ~ Vintage Gardens Rustic Events ~ Ridgefield, WA
/What’s your favorite thing to do on a warm, bright summer day?
I’ll let you in on one of my favorite ways to enjoy a sunny day… celebrating love and capturing memories for two awesome people in love!
This is one of the many reasons why I was so excited to photograph Tylar and Keven’s wedding! Their July ceremony and reception held at Vintage Gardens Rustic Events turned out absolutely beautifully!
Tylar and Keven chose dusty sage and blush as their wedding colors! They didn’t choose a “theme” for their wedding, but they did plan to use some rustic elements when it came to decor… I was so excited to see their vision come to life and start capturing their day!
When I first arrived at Vintage Gardens Rustic Events in the morning, the first photos that my second photographer and I captured were of the bride and groom getting ready for their ceremony. Both Tylar and Keven got ready for the day in a converted horse stable… Each space was SO unique and had an awesome touch of rustic charm! Plus, as a fun bonus, Keven had darts in the groom’s suite!
Tylar and Keven planned to have a “first look” in the afternoon, so once they were both done getting ready, we headed right outside to a quaint, grassy area near a field that looked perfect for capturing this moment! We made sure to take photos of both Tylar and Keven right before the big reveal, and the excitement on their faces was so clear. Once she placed her hand on his shoulder, he turned around, and it was pure happiness from there! The joy and excitement radiating from the both of them was so clear!
The “first look” was also a great opportunity to capture what both partners were wearing, and it was great to see that both of them added some rustic elements to their look! Tylar included cowboy boots with her stunning wedding look, and Keven made sure to add a bolo tie… It was really fun to finally take photos of them together and capture just how well each look complemented the other!
After shooting the “first look,” everyone waited in the groom’s suite for the ceremony to begin… And before we knew it, the ceremony was starting. Time flew by so quickly! The ceremony was set up in a GORGEOUS outdoor space with plenty of greenery along with a set of rustic doors that were used as a backdrop for the bride and groom.
Once it was time for the ceremony to start, Keven walked out and was accompanied by his mom and stepmom. The wedding party all came down the aisle, and then it was time for their flower girl... the couples 2 year old daughter! She had a hard time going down the aisle by herself, though, so her grandma came to the rescue.
Then, it was Tylar’s turn to walk down the aisle… She looked absolutely stunning! She was joined by her dad as she made her way to Keven. The rest of the ceremony was beautiful, and the scenery all around them was also breathtaking! The greenery made such a stunning background, and it appropriately framed all of the intimate shots captured of Tylar and Keven.
After the ceremony, we had a bit of time to take photos of the newlyweds! Their wedding venue was located on property that had so much natural charm, so we were easily able to find a location that was perfect for taking some portraits of the couple! Some of my favorite photos that were captured of them were the ones taken in a field. The golden hues of the field looked amazing with the sun that was just starting to set… Not to mention, this rustic setting went perfectly with the rustic touches in each of their looks!
Eventually, Tylar and Keven’s daughter also joined us for a couple of shots… It was great to capture the whole family in this beautiful setting!
Before the reception started, we also got some shots of the signs, sweet treats, and decor all around the reception area! I really loved that their wedding colors were used so thoughtfully through all of their decor… Check out the dusty sage chairs and cake design created by Chandelier Bakery! Also, all of their signs were such a fun touch that added to the rustic feel of the celebrations.
Next, the reception started! The beginning of receptions are SO much fun to shoot… I love being able to capture the classic traditions that typically happen earlier in the night. We ate a delicious dinner catered by Famous Dave’s BBQ, and Tylar and Keven moved ahead to the wedding traditions that they chose to include in their reception!
While it was still fairly early in the night, I was excited to capture speeches from their loved ones, the cutting of the (delicious!) cake, and the tossing of the garter and bouquet!
Then, it was time to dance the night away! Tylar and Keven started things off with their first dance, and they danced to “My Best Friend” by Tim McGraw. While dancing, their daughter excitedly ran up to them and wanted to join in the moment! When it was their daughter’s turn to come up and dance with them, she then decided she wasn’t in the mood anymore… I was definitely happy that we were able to take so many shots of the family together before she changed her mind!
The dances then continued! Keven shared a dance with his mom, and Tylar danced with her dad. After this, it was time for the dance floor to open up… Let me tell you, their friends and family truly had so much fun on the dance floor! Everyone was excited to get up and join in the fun to celebrate Tylar and Keven. While taking photos, I captured so many guests in cowboy hats and boots who were dancing the night away! It was so clear that all of their guests were having an AMAZING time.
Thank you so much to Tylar and Keven for trusting me to capture your special day! It was so fitting that we had a gorgeous, sunny day as the setting of your beautiful ceremony. I’m SO thrilled that you’re going to have these photos to look back on… When you sit down and take a look at them, I hope you remember the amazing time you had and all of your favorite people you experienced it with.
Congratulations, Tylar and Keven!
