A True Friend Knows Best ~ Boudoir Photography ~ Vancouver, WA
/Here’s a question for you… How much do you trust your friends?
Take a minute and think about it!
For me… When it comes to my closest friends, I know that they truly have my best interests at heart and only want what’s best for me. Honestly, why wouldn’t I trust them?
Now, let’s say that your friends REALLY encouraged you to step outside of your comfort zone and do something that feels very uncomfortable… and to some, even a bit dangerous! Would you trust them then?
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard from clients that their friends are the ones who encouraged them to start thinking about boudoir photography and recommended the experience. Many women start off feeling nervous about the idea of booking a session, but their friends are the ones who step in and let them know that it’s a worthwhile adventure. If you take the leap and take your friends’ word for it, I guarantee that you’ll have an incredible experience from start to finish!
I will say… If you’re definitely not feeling ready to book a session yet, that’s completely understandable! Boudoir will always be here waiting for you whenever you feel like it’s the right time in your journey to try it out.
For those of you who are curious about the experience, though… Take it from your friends! There’s so much to gain by stripping down and having this empowering experience.
So… What do you think? Would you take the leap of faith and trust your friend? Well, my client DID listen to her friend’s recommendation, and here’s how her experience was!
My client never had a boudoir session before, and that all changed thanks to her friend! Her friend had two boudoir experiences with me in the past… so when her friend saw that I had a last-minute opening for a boudoir shoot, she immediately sent those details to my client. My client’s friend convinced her that she needed to try it out, and the rest is history! My client ended up booking with me just a couple weeks before the session.
After she booked her session, I learned more about her reason for scheduling the shoot. Even though her friend did recommend the experience to her, my client had her own individual reasons for jumping into this experience… Ultimately, she wanted to book the boudoir session for herself in the spirit of saying yes to new experiences!
When the day of the session came around, my client showed up to my updated studio space. She was one of my first clients to have a boudoir session in my brand new studio, so this was an especially memorable session! It was a first for her, but it was also a first for me in terms of the new location we were using.
Emily Filice did my client’s makeup and did a gorgeous job! My client hoped to feel sexy and flirty during her session, and the stunning makeup look that Emily gave her really set the mood for the shoot.
My client started off the session in the living room set wearing nude heels and a flowy, floral robe. She later switched into a lacy blue outfit, and the color looked gorgeous on her! These outfit choices had a sensual touch while still being playful… a perfect combination that matched the feel that my client was going for!
For the bedroom set, she switched to fishnets and a white button down shirt which worked perfectly with the white cotton sheets. This combination was simple yet timeless and sexy!
At this point in the session, I could tell that my client was feeling super confident and having a ton of fun. In particular, the “under the sheets” shots and the shower photos were a blast to shoot, and it was awesome to see my client also having a great time! When shooting with a first-time client, it’s the BEST to see them in their element and having so much fun with the experience… That’s what boudoir sessions are all about!
I definitely have to say thank you SO much to my client and her friend!
Now, if your friend ever suggests a boudoir session in the future… I hope you’ll consider it! It’s an incredible experience that can truly feel life-changing. Just take your friend’s word for it!
