Personally… I know it has been awhile for me, but there definitely have been times when I have the urge to try out a new haircut, update my personal style, and even get a new tattoo. Even if we’re totally confident with your current look, sometimes it’s just fun to update our appearance! Whether we end up going with a small change or a huge makeover, these changes can definitely give us a boost of confidence, too.

Think back to times in your life when you’ve personally made a huge change…

Big changes like a new hair color or a tattoo not only give us so much confidence, but making updates like these can also inspire us to want to capture our new look. That’s why I was SO unbelievably excited when my friend FINALLY booked a boudoir photography session with me. She just got a new phoenix tattoo and was looking to show it off! What better way to do that than with a photoshoot?

I was also really looking forward to this because of our friendship. We love to travel all around the country together (I really want to visit all 50 states!) and have made so many memories together so far. She has now even started getting tattoos during our travels! (I told her they would get addicting… I think she may believe me now!).

On the day of the session, it was so fun to have my friend in the studio! We planned to take photos in the living room area and bedroom set… We didn’t use the shower set or any of the other special sets that I offer, and even though I love those settings, this really worked out in our favor! The living room and bedroom were perfect backdrops that allowed us to really highlight her tattoo.

During the photography session, I definitely made sure that we got enough shots of her phoenix tattoo! We took a ton of photos that were straight-on, but then I’d make sure to also include poses that gave us a good view of her upper back. The outfits she chose also really made this possible! Each look that she picked out included some sort of an open back or straps that were easy to adjust, and this helped us call attention to her tattoo.

Out of all of the settings, my favorite from this session has to be the bedroom set! The silver satin sheets that she picked out really complemented her. She was truly GLOWING and looked so confident. Plus, this set made it especially easy to get some gorgeous shots of her tattoo!

Thank you so much to my friend for booking a session! We had an unbelievable amount of fun, and I’m SO happy that you’ll now have these photos to look back on.

This session was done several months ago… and she has just gotten another HUGE tattoo… so I’m just waiting for her to call me up for another session. ;)
