Tattoos and Lace ~ Halloween Boudoir Session, Vancouver, WA

This recap is definitely delayed by a few months… but this boudoir session was intended to be a surprise for a partner, so I had to hold off on posting about it until I could be sure that I wouldn’t be ruining any surprises! =)

This client has two favorite holidays… Halloween and Christmas. We talked about how much she’d like to open a Halloween/Christmas store one day, so it seemed only fitting that she was my finally “Halloween” session in my studio before I flipped everything to Christmas. (Seriously, as soon as she left that day, Christmas decorations went up. lol).

With her cattle skull, cauldron, witch’s broom, and astrological jewelry, we had a ton of fun creating some scenes both on camera and off!

I have a thing for tattoos. I LOVE photographing them and I love hearing the stories behind them. I love color and I love emotion… and sometimes body art covers both of those at the exact same time! So, I was definitely more than a little excited when this client reached out to me for the second time for a session. (The first time we worked together was for a portrait session to commemorate her family’s bowling alley during the pandemic shut downs. You can see that recap here!).

I also love when clients bring in props and attire that has significance to them and their lives. Whether it’s a partner’s comfy flannel, or a skull and cauldron (LOL), I enjoy the challenge around creativity and story telling. These props also allow me to customize your session more specifically to you, your interests, and your goals for your photos.

If you’re interested in booking your own, personalized boudoir session. I would love to hear from you! You can either reach out via my website here, or join my private Facebook group here to get to know me a bit more, and participate in a amazing community of bad-ass ladies!
