Aspen & Birch Studio ~ Oregon City, OR ~ Brand Story Photography Session

Recently, I had the amazing opportunity to spend the day with Kate of Aspen & Birch, and we worked on capturing the brand story for her photography business!

With my new business brand story sessions, I’m going behind the scenes of local businesses in the Vancouver, Washington metropolitan area! This session type includes headshots of business owners along with candid images of them while they’re working with clients. I’ll also take images of your workspace along with any final products you make! These photos are perfect for your website, blog, social media accounts, or any other marketing materials you may make.

For many business owners, it can be difficult to take your own self-portraits! Trust me, I’ve been there… Even photographers can benefit from branding photography! It gets tricky when you try to capture yourself hard at work with client. It’s so much less stressful to work with a trusted photographer while you get to focus on doing your thing!

In Kate’s case, she’s an incredible wedding and portrait photographer who is located in the Greater Portland area, and she’s been creating magic as a professional photographer since 2019. Overall, her goal with her photography work is to embrace and help showcase the natural beauty of everyone she photographs. It’s important to Kate to create an environment where her clients can look and feel their best. This is a mission that I can definitely get behind!

Kate recently opened up a brand new photography studio in Oregon City (congratulations!) and decided that it was time for some behind-the-scenes shots of her updated space. That’s where I came in! We spent the day together, and I got to see Kate do her thing in her photography studio. While watching her work with a client, I got to learn all about her photography style and also heard more about the services she offers!

Kate has shot over 40 weddings in her time as a photographer, and her work speaks for itself! When I learned that she loves to work with natural lighting in her photography, it wasn’t a surprise at all… All of her wedding and elopement photos include soft, gorgeous lighting and stunning greenery. (Perfect example of this!)

It really says a lot when you come across a photographer whose studio shots are just as striking as their outdoor shots! Even though Kate shared that she loves natural lighting and outdoor photography, she’s no stranger to studio photography. After all, she just opened a brand new studio which is the perfect spot for portraiture! Kate has over 100 portrait sessions under her belt, and she’s not stopping there. She loves the versatility that comes with studio sessions because they allow her to play with color and light in any way she chooses. In these sessions, she loves that she can truly be creative!

Whether you’re interested in having portraits taken or looking to capture your wedding or elopement, Kate will knock it out of the park for you! During our photography session, I was truly blown away by way she directed her client session in the studio, and I also loved the versatility of her new space. It was amazing to get to take a behind-the-scenes look at Kate’s creative process and also learn more about her!
