Alexis & Brenton!
/ Driftwood Shores/ Brittney CoreyI usually hold it together pretty well at weddings —I ugly-cry during the editing when I get to relive all the beautiful moments, but I usually keep it together AT the actual wedding… this wedding, however, was the exception to that rule!
Alexis and Brenton chose to have their ceremony on the beach, at Driftwood Shores in Florence, Oregon…on the father-of-the-bride’s birthday. Alexis’s dad passed several years ago, but she was determined to have him included/remembered on her day.
With three brother’s, Alexis had no shortage of male support. Her youngest brother walked her down the aisle, and all three of them danced with her in lieu of the traditional Father/Daughter dance (dang it, starting to tear up again just thinking about it!). It truly was a beautiful thing to see.
In addition to gaining a husband, Alexis was also officially becoming a “mom” to the little girl who’s life she’d been a part of for the last eight years. She asked me, specifically, to document their relationship as she wanted photos to pass down to her daughter.
The day was so full of family, laughter, fun, and LOTS of dancing! (I wish that I could share all the dancing photos! They really had a blast!). The bride and groom finished the night with a big bonfire on the beach with their guests.
